The BRIT Awards 2006 Magazine

The centre-piece of the BARD (British Association of Record Retailers) retail promotion was The BRITs 2006 magazine that JME publish. A 72 page full colour A4 magazine, it included full listings of nominees plus exclusive interviews with some of the biggest names in the music business, including Kaiser Chiefs, KT Tunstall, James Blunt, Gorillaz, The Magic Numbers, Kano, Kelly Clarkson, Will Young and Paul Weller. Alongside the interviews the glossy magazine included features on Coldplay, Kanye West, Madonna and many other artists, as well as articles on last years show, BRITs fashion, The BRITs charity work and The BRIT school. In addition, there were exclusive photographs and comments from the official nominations launch at the Riverside Studios in London. Competitions were also run in the magazine and online, prizes included the £4,500 goodie bag given to presenters and performing artists. 488,000 magazines were distributed nationwide including stores in Ireland. The BRIT Awards 2006 Ticket Booklets

On the ticketing and pass systems JME work closely with BAL to ensure they are functional and secure. For 2006 a system was created including: Show tickets, laminates, wristbands, day stickies, parking tickets and printed lanyards shown on the following pages. The BRIT Awards 2006 Point of sale

JME coordinate the BRIT Awards retail promotion through BARD (the British Association of Record Dealers). A series of promotional items are produced, orders taken and materials distributed in the biggest promotion of its kind. In addition to the magazine a range of merchandising, display items and stickers are produced to promote the awards pre and post show.Orders were collected from HMV, WHSmith, Virgin Megastores, Woolworths, ASDA, MVC, Music Zone, Safeway, J Sainsburys, Borders, Fopp , Choices UK, O2, and 67 independent music stores. Promotions ran nationwide for two weeks either side of the show. In all, over 3,000 stores across the country ran BRIT Awards promotions. Chairman: Peter Jamieson Executive Chairman, BPI

brits.co.uk, the official site for The BRIT Awards 2006. All aspects designed and managed by JM Enternational. The official BRIT Awards website, brits.co.uk, is visually redesigned each year to closely dovetail with the years design themes across the rest of the campaign. A team of writers are dedicated to the project, including a full-time in-house editor. Their experience in the genre keeps the sites editorial fresh and relevant. Where necessary JM Enternational have provided BRIT Awards Ltd technical consultation regarding issues with a range of online partnerships including: Motorola, O2/Samsung, Apple Computer (iTunes), Microsoft MSN, Amazon, Done & Dusted, MediaWave and BT Cellnet. JME have published, designed and maintained brits.co.uk and classicalbrits.co.uk since 2001. Every year we look to extend the sites capabilities and this year was no exception. The site carried video and music downloads were made available for the first time via 7 Digital. -

The BRIT Awards 2006 Launch

The BRIT Awards Nominations Launch, Riverside Studios 10th January 2006. JME produced and installed media room branding throughout the building. We also supplied and erected front of house branding materials. Printed materials included press folders, invitations, nominee sheets, passes. JME are on hand to produce any additional items needed such as a presentation cheque for the BRIT Awards charitable donation to the BRIT Trust. JME photograph the event extensively with images being put online quickly. brits.co.uk was switched live directly from the launch venue as the nominees were announced.
