    Paul McGuinness winner of the Robertson Taylor “Peter Grant” Award (for outstanding achievement and a trailblazing career) with client U2’s Bono. Roll of honour inductees included Michael Eavis, Alison Wenham with Chris Blackwell founder of Island Records. Producer awards went to Stephen Street and Garret Lee. Music manager of the year went to Simon Banks, KT Tunstall’s manager.

    Commissioned by: James Sellar (MMF Secretary General). Other winners on the night included Crisis Management, Supervision Management and Shannon Francis.

    The Nationwide Mercury Prize Art Competition is an exciting national art competition for students studying art and design in the UK.

    The winning entry from the Art Competition is featured on the cover of the Nationwide Mercury Prize compilation CD, which is released in August each year.

    The winner of the 2006 Nationwide Mercury Prize Art Competition is Gethin Wyn Jones from the Bath School of Art and Design with a sculpture Colour Music.

    The BRIT Awards 2006 Photography

    A team of photographers is run by JME at the event covering the build, rehearsals, arrivals, champagne reception, show, backstage media area and party. Thousands of photos are taken with over 300 images were placed on the website.

    High resolution shots were made available on JME download pages for Eagle Rock and Somethin Else to promote international TV and Radio programmes. The trade press were also supplied with images to meet their deadlines (Music Week/Billboard etc).

    In addition to the main show JME is on hand throughout the year to take photos at press briefings, the launch and BRITsTV moments Images are requested and distributed throughout the year on behalf of BAL from our archive, which now spans 14 years.

    JME have been official photographers at Mercury Music Prize, Eurovision Song Contest, MOBO Awards and many other industry events.

    Michael Parkinson, the legendary broadcaster, king of the chat-show and star-maker, was honoured this evening with the prestigious Music Industry Trusts’ Award in association with Accenture. The charity gala dinner, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, was attended by over 1000 guests from the UK music industry and entertainment industry, to pay tribute to the master communicator.

    Jazz chanteuse, Clare Teal, whom Michael Parkinson’s early support was instrumental in her signing her first major recording contract, gave a spectacular performance in his honour.

    Rod Stewart, a lifelong friend and one of Michael’s favourite performing artists, presented him with the prestigious award.
