brits.co.uk 2004
Client: BRIT Awards Ltd
12th January 2004
For the 2004 site, we conceived the site's structure to be year generic, allowing the future site to evolve both pro- and retrospectively. A content management system was put in place to allow the easy addition of information from a large base of editors, story writers, press and publicity, TV and radio schedulers and photographers. JME sourced images, a music clip, record label logos and the official weblink for every artist. Added to this was the ability for every record company to directly add content to each of their nominated artists in the form of news, pictures, tour & events dates, downloads, biographies, features, discographies, record label info and related weblinks. New areas of the site included an extensive BRIT Trust section, frequently asked questions and a very popular competitions page, carrying many prizes from artists and the BRITs. JME liaised with O2 and Samsung to create a mobile area with competitions, downloads, free images for your phone, information on MMS and WAP services, and promotion of the official BRITs mobile phone. On top of this, brits.co.uk held all the information we have in previous years: regular news stories, promotion of the various national and international TV shows, online voting in the five public categories, a winners list for all shows to date, ticket purchasing, promotion of official BRITs CD & DVD, photos from the main show, all three “BRITs are Coming” shows and the nominations launch, features on all performers, a summary of every BRIT Awards to date, information on the BRIT Trust benefiting charities, BRIT School, Future Forests, MasterCard and the BPI. -
