The Nationwide Mercury Prize 2008 Album
of the Year Awards Show - Grosvenor House Park Lane. Host Jools Holland announced the The Nationwide Mercury Prize 2008 Album of the Year nominations and winner. With live performances from nominees Laura Marling, Portico Quartet, Adele, Elbow, Neon Neon, Estelle, The Last Shadow Puppets, Rachel Unthank & The Winterset and British Sea Power. Other nominees who attended the announcements included: Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. The overal winners on the night were Elbow for their album The Seldom Seen Kid.
