The MITS Award

Since its creation in 1992, the Music Industry Trusts Award has become one of the music industry’s most cherished fundraising events. In 1996, JME were commissioned by David Munns, then Chair of the Music Industry Trusts Award, to design and produce the award.

Each year, a committee of esteemed experts draws on their diverse experience to choose an outstanding individual to honour with the award, in recognition of their contribution to the UK’s musical and cultural landscape.

The award-presentation ceremony is held at The Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane every November. This special, inspirational evening brings together hundreds of guests from across the industry to celebrate the recipient’s achievements among their peers, all while raising vital funds for music charities Nordoff & Robbins and The BRIT Trust.

This glass award is a finely crafted piece, featuring two sheets of glass meticulously etched on both sides and accented with silver inlays. Measuring 100mm in width and 220mm in height, it boasts intricate designs, including "THE MITS AWARD 2023" and "LUCY DICKINS," alongside "OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY." The edges are uniquely textured, adding sophistication to its appearance. It stands as a symbol of remarkable achievements and contributions to the music industry.
